Roam The Sea

This a series of paintings are inspired on my experiences of volunteering as an attendant with the autistic children. I remember the time I drew with autistic children, actually they would not like to reject communication all the time, instead, I found that they would attract by colorful images and some children show very creative talent on painting, and trend to calm down themself in drawing. These works represent the time I drew with those autistic children, through drawing, colorful paints to communicate with them, their creative talent seemed like bring me roam on the deep sea, finding some mysteries, listening to them tell their stories. This work also reflects the point of visual communication can offer a way to process thoughts flexibly and sensorially, and art can be an ideal means of expression for people on the autism spectrum.
