Intertwine Knot

The work is inspiring by my exploration of natural surroundings of various branch views in sketch recordings, reshaped tangled and twisty forms through acrylic sticks that is also an ongoing practice in plastic material experiment. Through making process of burning, I found that it could form different conditions depend on the distance with fire. When I put acrylic stick inside the fire flame, it would form scorch texture, instead, if put a bit far, just use the fire’s high temperature to melt it, it would keep its transparency. I intertwined the dark and the pure characteristics to form a fusion of imitating tangled branches and think some links with fire caused metaphor, attempt to evoke us explore the environmental surroundings and rethinking some connections between materials experiment and natural forms surround us.
